In light of the current situation in occupied Palestine, given the increasing dangers and instability in the city of Jerusalem, the continuing and rapid confiscation and displacement of its land, its people and its heritage (including the holy sites), the ongoing threats to everyday life and mobility imposed on West Bank towns and the murderous blockade held in Gaza (remembering the near completion of the new and sophisticated apartheid wall on the Egypt-Gaza border),
the Palestinian Youth Network is calling on Palestinian and solidarity organizations to organize global demonstrations, speaking events or any other form of activity to commemorate Land Day and protest what is happening in Jerusalem these days. We call for the international day of action to be held on, 27, 28, 29 30 of March.
In occupied Palestine, Palestinians are mobilizing to show their anger and they are facing brutal military retaliations. As Palestinians spread across the globe, we must do the same and mobilize to show our anger and support.
The Ethnic Cleansing of Jerusalem must stop now, the demolition of Palestinian homes must stop now, the intensifying suffocation of our people must stop now, and we MUST raise our voices to support our brothers and sisters in Palestine and at the silent international community, too focused on negotiations to pay attention to the heightened injustice and suffering!
